Board of Directors

Youth Life Builders is proud to have a board of directors composed of esteemed educators from surrounding communities. Each board member brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in youth development, which is instrumental in guiding our efforts and broadening the impact of our programs. We are excited to introduce our board to you and highlight their diverse and talented backgrounds. Their collective expertise ensures that we are well-equipped to support and nurture the growth of young individuals in our community.

Alison Bjoin

Since 2010, Dr. Alison Bjoin has served as the Principal at Joseph A. Craig High School in Janesville, Wisconsin, where she also worked as an Assistant Principal for five years. Before entering administration, Bjoin taught high school English and Journalism at Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in English Education from Winona State University, a master’s degree and Post Master’s Certificate in Education Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison.

Mark Coombs

Mark Coombs received his Bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1998 and worked in the Janesville School District as an 8th grade math/science teacher for 6 years.  He began his school administrative career after graduating from National Louis University in 2002 and accepting a Dean of Students position in Beloit. He gladly accepted an Assistant Principal position at Janesville Craig one year later where he worked for 4 years. In May of 2009 he finished his Doctorate for Educational Leadership and accepted the Edgerton High School principal position. He has been honored to serve the community and students of Edgerton for the past 15 years.

Jeff Crandall

Jeff is currently in his 16th year in education, serving as an administrator in the Evansville Community School District for the last 4 years.  Prior to that he spent 12 years working as a school counselor in West Allis/West Milwaukee School District and the East Troy Community School district.

Ben Yaucher

Ben Yaucher has worked in education since 2014. He entered administration in 2020 as the associate principal at Milton Middle School. Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree in science education from UW-Stout and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from UW-Madison.

Founders

Together Vicki, Jessica, and Mark founded Youth Life Builders to fill a need for at-risk students entering grades 7-10, by providing scholarships/Funding for summer programs intending to foster a sense of belonging, inclusion and self-esteem .

Vicki Morris

With a passion for non-profit work, Vicki brings a long history of community service in the Rock County area to this foundation.  She has held several leadership and board positions through numerous non-profit organizations, service clubs, and her church, with an emphasis on finances.  In addition, Vicki brings the people and business skills she obtained while managing two well-established family businesses for 25+ years.

JEssica Osborne

Jessica has a deep passion for her community. For more than 15 years, she has been actively involved with various non-profit organizations and her church, contributing her time and expertise to make a positive impact. Jessica has served in various capacities, including board member, leadership roles, and as a dedicated volunteer. Her dedication to community service is particularly evident in her support for local youth organizations. Jessica believes in empowering the next generation and has worked diligently to provide opportunities and resources for young people to thrive.

Mark Tate

Mark is a UW Stevens Point graduate with a degree in Business Administration. He is a Private Client/ Executive Benefits Specialist for USI Insurance and has been in the industry since 1993. Mark has held leadership and has volunteered for numerous non-profit and church organizations over the years in the Madison and Edgerton area.
